How to Apply

The John Andrews Foundation is a private registered Foundation dedicated to funding education, healthcare, social welfare and the arts in Northwestern Ontario.

Guidelines for applicants:

In order to be eligible for a grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Applicants must have charitable status (registered by the Canada Revenue Agency) and be directly involved in the delivery of the program
  • Eligible projects must be delivered in Northwestern Ontario
  • Projects must focus on one or more of the following areas: education, healthcare, social welfare or the arts
  • Projects must create measurable community benefits
  • The final decision on all applications is made by the Board of Directors. Generally, the Board will consider charities which have been previous recipients of funds. The Board will evaluate its grant program each year, and charities are advised to keep the Board informed of their current activities and requirements, and any special program or project for which extraordinary funding is sought.

Application steps:

The Foundation requires the applicant to fill out the online “Application for Grant” form. Forms should be submitted online wherever possible or sent as a pdf via email (download form).
